Date/Time:
May 15th, 2010 New race date is May 22nd, 2010. Registration/check-in opens at 9:00am

Location:
Registration and Start/Finish will be at the Aspen Grove Trailhead in Curt Gowdy State Park.
Here's a map

Categories/Distances/Times:
Sport Men - 13.2 miles - 10:00am
Sport Women - 8.4 miles - 10:01am
Beginner Men and Women - 3.6 miles - 10:02am
Expert Men - 20 miles - noon
Expert Women - 15.2 miles - 12:02pm
Single Speed - Those are bikes, not categories; race with the group that matches your ability.

These distances may seem a bit short, but if you have riden at Gowdy, you know it tends to be slow going.
Don't let the short milages fool you.

We won't have age groups this year, so race with the appropriate ability level:
Beginner - Short, least-technical course. Non-competitive. Don't feel comfortable in bike shorts? This is for you.
Sport - Longer course, some technical riding. Non-competitive/sort-of-competitive
Expert - Longest, most technical course. Eat-your-competitors'-children competitive
If enough people show up we will add age categories in the future.

Registration:
Race day registration opens at 9:00am and closes 10 minutes before each race start.
Field limit is 50 riders per category. There's no pre-registration, so show up early if you want to be sure you get in.

Entry fee:
10 bucks.

Park fee:
State parks in Wyoming charge an entrance fee. $4 for Wyo. residents or $6 for non-residents. This is not covered by your race entry fee. Pay the fee at the booth when you come in or use the self serve fee station at the trailhead. They will be checking on race day.

Racing Licenses:
Leave it at home. If you show us a racing license, we will charge you an attached rider fee.

Courses:
Maps are on the Race Courses page.

Important:
Cycling can be dangerous. Really dangerous. Especially mountain biking. Because of this, racers must wear a helmet and sign a waiver.
